Staci Wanichek on Being a Female Entrepreneur
To celebrate International Womens Day we asked our founder and CEO some questions about being a female entrepreneur and proud business owner. Here is what she had to say:
Q: What’s the best part about being you’re own boss?
A: The best part of being my own boss is that it allows me the flexibility to create my schedule. There are days when I work harder and longer hours and others where I take off early from work to be there for my kid's activities.
Q: What drives you?
A: Pure determination is what drives me. I like a challenge and setting goals. In business, my go-to phrase is - 'no just means you have to find another way to get to yes!' The other thing that drives me is my family. They are my biggest cheerleaders, and I want to show them that I can do it all.
Q: Do you have any advice for future female business owners?
A: My advice for other women looking to start their own business would be to research the market they want to get into and not be afraid to ask others for help and guidance; I learned so much by asking other people questions. You must also passionately believe in your product and be willing to put in the time to get it going. Ultimately, your success depends on you!
